Life before Birth and Life after Birth - the importance of rituals and ceremonies in our life

“Rituals lead to Awareness, awareness leads to Healing, healing leads to Liberation”.

As man developed self-awareness and comprehended more about "Who I Am," "What Is My Purpose," "Why I Am Born and Why I Die," and "Where My Soul Goes After Death," he began to realize that life is everlasting and vowed to escape it in order to unite with the Supreme.

Aryans had enough opportunity to explore and gain knowledge about the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Everybody's life is influenced by dharma, karma, the curse, and both good and bad deeds.

The Garuda Purana states that human souls cannot attain salvation without rituals. Shodash Karma in the Aryan culture seeks to fulfil the circle by becoming one with the Supreme and maintaining the harmony of the dharma and soul's journey.

Rebirth lies at the core of all ancient religions. Everyone who is born will die and, in accordance with karma and dharma, come back as any of 84 lakh yonis (life forms). Samsara represents the endless cycle of rebirth or reincarnation, providing a profound opportunity for understanding the purpose of life, spiritual growth and the eternal journey of the soul. Mother, Father, Ancestors, Kul Devta , Gram Devta and Kul Devi , all have a very special role in the journey and rebirth of a soul. Nature keeps a watch on our physical and astral destinations as well as our fate.

Rituals have importance from the moment of our birth and throughout the duration of our lives because they help the soul's journey and enable it to fulfil its duties in line with Karma and Dharma. The cremation observances have a significant impact on the soul's afterlife as well. Rishis, Munis, Sages, and Monks, day and night gained practical experience and experimented on the rituals.

People who are educated, cultured, and modern in this modern age of science believe that rituals are superfluous and hypocritical acts that we engage in just to maintain mythology, and as such, they have no meaning.

No shortcut will give the soul liberation; instead, it will continue to wander, resulting in pitradosha and other doshas in the lives of the departed and those close to them. The person carries these doshas in the rebirth.

The intrinsic significance of human life is unrivalled. Life is sacred in all its aspects. Because of this, every important milestone—from conception to cremation—is celebrated to act as a reminder that life is a gift from God and should be cherished and lived in accordance with his wishes. You and your loved ones would be happy if you respect the rituals according to your faith; if you want to be happy, please follow them.
